Firm Size, Productivity, Wages and Capital Distribution in China's Industry

Abstract The impact of firm size on productivity is investigated using statistical data. It is shown that industrial characteristics such as firm size, capital intensity, and wages have a significant influence on a firm's productivity. The results show that capital intensity is more important than firm size in determining productivity, and that size distribution has a strong influence on China's technical efficiency.
