Abstract

The impact of firm size on productivity is investigated using statistical data. It is shown that industrial characteristics such as firm size, capital intensity, and wages have a significant influence on a firm's productivity. The results show that capital intensity is more important than firm size in determining productivity, and that size distribution has a strong influence on China's technical efficiency.
