Hochschulstudium aus interkultureller Sicht: Chinesische Studierende an chinesischen und deutschen Hochschulen

Abstract

The article describes leaming and teaching behaviour of Chinese students and teachers based on the author’s personal experience as a lecturer of German language and culture at universities in the People’s Republic of China. The author offers insights into the Chinese university system, portraying the role of teachers and students and describing aspects of the daily life of Chinese students. With this as a background the article delineates specific problems and difficulties of Chinese students studying at German universities. Reports of personal experiences compiled by Chinese students and teachers were also taken into account.
