Umstrittenes Land – Quelle neuen Unfriedens: Großflächige Landinvestitionen in den Philippinen

Abstract

»It is totally revolting that our land s are being devoted for the food security needs of other nations while  the Filipino farmers suffer increasing landlessness, hunger and poverty«, sagt Danilo Ramos, Generalsekretär der philippinischen Bauernbewegung Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) (09.02.2012). Es geht dabei um die Vergabe von mehreren 10.000 Hektar Land auf Mindanao an eine Holding-Gesellschaft aus Bahrain für die Produktion von Bananen, Reis und anderen Exportfrüchten.
