"ASEM" - Nachhilfeunterricht für europäische Politiker in Sachen Asien
Am 1. und 2. März 1996 fand in Bangkok das "Asia- Europe-Meeting" (ASEM) statt, an dem Spitzenpolitiker von 10 asiatischen und 15 europäischen Ländern teilnahmen. Die Teilnehmer aus Asien waren China, Japan, die Republik Korea und die sieben ASEAN-Länder, also Brunei, Indonesien, Malaysia, die Philippinen, Singapur, Thailand und Vietnam.
