Am Ende war es dann doch kein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen dreier Kandidaten gewesen, wie viele Beobachter erwartet hatten. Das Ergebnis der Wahl zum Präsidentenamt am 18. März fiel im Gegenteil deutlicher aus als erwartet.
