Vom Wissen zum Können. Interkulturelle Interaktions- kompetenz als Lehr- und Lernziel

  • Peter Jandok (Autor/in)

Abstract

This article can be split into two parts. The first part presents current research results taken from authentic interactions between Chinese native speakers as well as intercultural discourses between Chinese native and non-native speakers. The second part suggests five steps to develop intercultural competence with the help of naturally occurring interactions: (1) data collection, (2) defining research focus, (3) transcription, (4) description and (5) interpretation. These steps are illustrated by an analysis of a conflict talk between German and Chinese native speakers.
