Join the debate on “New Area Studies”

In our current issue Claudia Derichs, Vincent Houben and Boike Rehbein have written a debate input on “new area studies” and their relevance for (Southeast) Asian Studies. We welcome interested scholars to add their thoughts to the debate and send us a short reply on these texts, either a general reply or a discussion of a certain, specific question raised. The piece of text should be about 1,5 to max. 2,5 pages in length and will undergo an internal review by our Editorial Team. We especially encourage (female) Asian Studies scholars from Asia itself to join in the debate. A selection of those comments will be published in an appendix to the current IQAS issue.
